What sets KA! apart

Ethically sourced and responsibly grown Kanna

Our Kanna is sourced from farms and does not endanger Kanna in the wild. We work with trusted farmers that cultivate Kanna in its natural terrain in South Africa - without the use of pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, or any conventional farming practices that could compromise the purity of the extracts.

Patented extraction for potency you can feel

The Kanna extracts we source are derived from a unique strain of Sceletium tortuosum selected for their optimal alkaloid balance. Using a patented extraction process, the plant is transformed into  standardized extracts of uniquely high potency rich in active alkaloids. Every batch is produced in a cGMP-certified, FDA-inspected laboratory in South Africa, ensuring exceptional consistency, safety, and efficacy from plant to finished extract.

The alkaloid content of KA!'s Kanna is:

  • Total Primary Alkaloids ≥ 5.1%
  • Mesembrine Total Content ≥ 5%
  • Alkaloid Profile Mesembrine ≥ 90.1%
  • Alkaloid Profile Mesembrenone ≥ 8.1%
  • Alkaloid Profile Δ7-Mesembrenone ≥ 1.8%

Alkaloids are naturally occurring organic compounds in plants that contain nitrogen and have a direct effect on the central nervous system.

Clean and organic, nothing artificial

Our products are crafted with pure, organic ingredients - never fillers or artificial additives. They are minimally processed and always free from refined sugars, artificial sweeteners, gluten, animal products, caffeine and preservatives (not even even citric acid). Just pure botanicals, in their most natural and effective form.

Patent-pending heatless production process

No heat means no degradation in the production process—which leaves our plant ingredients’ bioactivity fully intact so you get the full spectrum of benefits, just as nature intended. (Just one of the many reasons we crafted a Chew - not a gummy - and kept sugar and high heat out of the picture.)

Tested & trusted

We work with independent third-party laboratories to periodically test our products for microbial safety, heavy metals, and purity. These tests validate the integrity of our manufacturing process and confirm that our formulations meet our high standards for safety and quality.

Sustainable operations

We are part of the Colorado Green Business Network and Longmont Sustainable Business Program, building towards true operational sustainability. As a member of the Circular Action Alliance we are committed to helping build a circular economy by reducing waste and using compostable and recyclable materials whenever possible.

Honoring indigenous reciprocity

Our Kanna is sourced through a partner with a formal profit-sharing agreement with the Khoi, one of the plant’s traditional stewards. As part of our ongoing commitment to building a sustainable give-back program, we work with Bushmen and Khoi leaders to sponsor cultural preservation and education initiatives like Aboriginal Walkers, and provide Kanna for community-led tea ceremonies that revive ancestral practices and promote reciprocal healing.
